How much does it cost to take up fencing?
After following fencing in the olympics and beating my friends senseless with Raphael on Soul Calibur, I’m seriously thinking about taking it up at a local club.. But i’m wondering how much it costs (£) ie. average memberships, equipment cost etc

£30 monthly for the membership or £7 a day
£400 for the equipment
Normally, you don’t need buy the equipment for the beginners class as the club provide everything for you.
Just try it! You will enjoy fencing, I’m sure!

I have been fencing for 25 years, and it is an awsome sport. It is a sport you can enjoy from 7 years old to 70. Now to answer your question. You can obtain a starter set of fencing gear,(Mask, Glove, Weapon, Jacket) from many suppliers for a little over a hundred dollars.
